Fossil Springs

A couple of weeks ago we took a beautiful drive and hiked down to Fossil Springs. We went with the Maxfield's and three of their children. Noah, Brian and I had a fun time and enjoyed the beautiful AZ scenery and cooler weather. We hiked a total of 8 miles which is the longest hike Noah had been on. The hike down was not so bad and the time we spent playing in the water was great! The hike back was a little more treacherous and hotter since it was late afternoon. Brian was great at motivating Noah and took his mind off the tiredness and bodyaches he was feeling. It was tough at then end but we made it and it was worth it! There are quite a few pictures of our fun day! No pictures of the actual hike we were too tired!

We found a cave down at the creek.

The water was extremely cold at first and I did not want to lean back against the rocks because it was colder than I like.

So much fun!

It looks like you had so much fun. I'm sure the water made the hike worth it.

That looks like you had fun. We love getting out and doing stuff like that, it makes me want to plan something similar. Also I like your expression, Becky, in the picture with the cold water. That would be me too.

My in-laws have a cabin near Fossil Springs. When we hike down, we leave a car down to the power plant at the bottom to take us back to the top. Then, the whole hike is down hill! Looks like you all had a blast!

That looks like a cool cave with water to play around in. How do you find these places!

SO cute! Seriously, you should get the one of you three in the water framed. Not the one with Becky screaming at how cold it is. Though that one is definitely my fav.
