Pinetop Family Vacation

We were finally able to make a weekend trip over the Memorial Day weekend with all of our kids. This has not happened for almost 3 years so I was really wanting a little trip before or baby boy is born. Brian luckily found a great deal on a hotel that served a yummy breakfast and had a nice indoor pool. We had a pleasant time getting out of the heat and enjoying some outside play at parks and around lakes. The kids also loved swimming in the pool and hot tub. We managed in our one bedroom and ended up putting Deborah in the bathroom when she was unable to fall asleep the first night with all of us in the room. It worked out but we did do a lot of bathroom trips on the 1st floor during the night and early morning. We were on the 2nd floor. Julia and Dean even liked sleeping on the floor and chose it because they wanted to sleep in the sleeping bag. Noah lucked out and got a bed to himself. The kids were overall very good traveling and during the whole trip. It went better than expected.  They keep asking when we can go again. They loved staying at the hotel and just getting away as a family. I loved it too!

The pictures did not copy in any order so they are  not in correct order.

Deborah wanted to copy what they other kids were doing on the path rail.
These 2 pictures above and below are on the way there. We stopped for a short break and walked around the mountain.

Deborah 21 Months

Deborah is getting closer to 2 now and she is speaking a ton. It is amazing how much she knows how to say and how she is able to talk in phrases and even short sentences. She repeats everything the other kids say it is funny to hear. She loves to swim and can monkey walk by herself on the side of the pool. She likes us to hold her so she can kick and does not mind being dunked under water. She continues to love nursery and being with other kids. It is cute when I ask her something that she is not sure the answer she says"I don't know". It is the way her voice sounds that makes it cute. We love this little cuties of ours and it is hard to believe she won't be the youngest soon.

Julia's Preschool End Program

Julia had her last day of preschool for the school year but is returning again next year to Patterson Preschool. She was the youngest in the class and all the other kids are moving onto kindergarten except 2 other boys who have one more year. Julia will still have two more years before kindergarten. She has learned a lot and her speech is so much better. She is shy at school so it is hard for them to always get the best evaluation because she is quiet in the groups. Her teacher says she is able to keep up with all of the older kids and they enjoy being with her in class. She enjoyed singing songs on her last day and eating icecream. Her favorite song in preschool is Wheels on the Bus and she said she wants to be a Princess when she grows up. It was fun seeing her enjoy school at such an early age. She will miss it this summer!

These are some of her friends Emma and Charolette who will be moving on next year.

Enjoying the new Turf!

We have begun the swim season this month and the kids have loved the new turf Brian put around the pool. We originally had rocks and a big bush around the pool. We decided to pull it all out and just put fake in fake grass. It looks great and the kids love laying on it after they swim.

Dean's Birthday Party

Dean really wanted to have a friend party for the first time to celebrate his birthday. We had to put it off for a couple of weeks due to other activities we had or his friends did. It was a small group but he invited his best friends Dallin, Dawson, and Ryder. We went to McDonalds to play and then came home and did a treasure hunt. The kids had fun and it was easier than I thought. Ryder's sister Kendra joined us also which was fun for Julia and Deborah. The boys are quite the characters when they get together!

Dean's Preschool Graduation

Dean graduated from preschool and will be starting kindergarten next school year. It is hard to believe that he is getting older and bigger. At the start of the program they did the Pledge of Allegiance and Dean was able to lead everyone in it. They also performed their color songs in small groups. Dean sang the yellow song with Dallin and Ryder. They are called the 3 amigos or 3 musketeers because they carpool together and are good friends. Dean's teacher Mrs Christina told a little bit about each student. She said that Dean was very serious when it came to his school work but was able to relax when it was time to play with his friends. She also told a story of how Dean told the truth even though he was not the only one in the class in the wrong. He spoke up first not knowing what the consequence would be. She was very proud of his decision and decided to reward him for being honest. He is a good kid and we love him so much!

Julia's Dance Class Finale

Julia was in a tap/ballet class for the past 9 weeks. She loved it and dances around the home all the time now. The last class they did a little show for the parents and family. Julia had the biggest smile the whole time but was quite shy for the performance. She got distracted because she like looking at us with a huge smile on her face. It was fun to watch and we will sign her up again in the fall.

23 weeks pregnant

I have been very bad at taking pictures of this pregnancy. I was going out one night and asked Brian to take a picture. I am 23 weeks and feel like I look a lot bigger compared to my other pregnancies. All is going well and I feel good overall but just get tired and light headed very easily.

Dean's 5th Birthday

Dean turned 5 years old today. It is hard to believe that this little miracle has been with us for that long. Dean is fun to have at home and he can be a big helper with his little sisters. He loves preschool and anything with learning. He likes doing workbooks and home and has started reading simple books. He likes playing outside, swimming, playing with friends, going to the park, playing games, playing games on the ipad or wii, and still likes doing puzzles. He woke up to streamers and balloons taped to his door. There were also balloons all over the floor in the living room. He really enjoyed the surprise. For his birthday I made pancakes and eggs for breakfast which was his choice. We went and jumped on the trampoline with the sprinklers and Aunt Emily's with cousin Alexis. We enjoyed toy story cupcakes that were for preschool but it had gotten cancelled. I let him pick out a movie to rent and he wanted Madagascar 2. When Daddy got home he wanted to swim. For dinner he chose corn pops and chocolate milk. It was an easy dinner for me to prep. We sang to him and ate more cupcakes and then he enjoyed opening presents. It was a relaxing birthday for him and we had other obligations that night due to scouts so it was nice just keeping it simple. He had a good day and was happy with what he got.
