Story Time

Dean, Julia, and I went to story time in Tempe with some friends. They had other activities for the kids to do and they gave out hats to the kids.Julia loved the hats and it would make her smile everytime I put it on her head.

Court of Honor

Noah had his second court of honor since being in boy scouts. He achieved a few badges over the past few months and is continuing to work on more. Noah with Brother Swain his scout leader.

Julia and Dean love playing together and it is fun to watch!

Julia 14 Months

Julia gets cuter everyday! She loves to laugh and play! She is a pro at crawling and is very speedy. She is great at pulling herself up to stand and using props to walk but she still will not walk on her own. I can't even think of her as a toddler because of this. To me she is still a baby, a very big baby. She enjoys the park and is climbing all over the playground equipment now. It is making more work for me but it is fun to watch her. She has even enjoyed the slide by herself a few times due to Dean pushing her down it. She has even gone head first on her belly (the slide is not fast so no injuries). Her pants are getting worn out quickly because she wants to be independent but is always on her knees. Climbing the stairs is a fun activity for her but we stop if very quickly. She makes a lot of talking sounds but the only words I can make out our mama, dada, and nana (for banana). She likes playing with the big lego blocks. She is still a great sleeper and eater. She is getting touch due to Deans rough but loving play (I think it is out of love). She likes to cuddle which is fun with me! She also likes to be on the cough and walk or crawl all over it. She has 5 teeth now 3 on top and 2 on bottom.

Valentine Kid Party

The Friday before Valentine's Day we went to a fun little party at the Carol Rae Park. Each kid made a Valentine box and passed out their valentine's and treats. There were about 20 kids there which made it more fun. Dean had a blast and Julia loved getting dirty!

Julia's Standing Progress

Julia has been making some progress this week in her motor development. We started finding her standing up in her bed when she woke up from night time or naps. She then proceeded to pull herself up to her feet from the couch. I make a big deal of it by clapping and cheering for her. She loves it and will mimic me. She also will walk along the couch which is a big progress as well. She is 13 1/2 months so it was about time she decided to attempt this. I never got the feeling she was afraid of doing these things I think she just did not have the interest. I can tell she likes being on her feet now. She does very well when we hold her hands and walk with her. She probably has another month or so before she starts walking.

Family Pictures

We had family pictures taken the end of January by amici photography. It was a beautiful morning and it was very relaxing. The kids got to play as we moved around the neighborhood so it made it a pleasant experience.
