3rd Anniversary!

Today Brian and I celebrated our 3rd year anniversary of marriage. What a wonderful 3 years we have had together! I feel so grateful to have such a wonderful person in my life who loves and supports me in everything I do. We met at our singles ward Service Auction and even though he did not bid on my service we somehow got together, thanks to his brother Brady, who invited me to actually do service for Brian. I helped paint the inside of his house and he returned the favor by asking me out. We enjoyed each others company so much that we continued to date and were sealed about 15 months later in the Mesa Temple. What a beautiful day it was with family and friends. We would often get teased that we were having a Halloween wedding since it was the Saturday before Halloween and there were many parties going on that night. We actually had a few people come dressed up in costumes, making the festivities even better.

We were blessed to have Noah part of our family from the start. He brings a lot of variety to the marriage and we learn so much from him. He is such a great son and brother! We have been blessed with our handsome little Dean who is growing so fast and brings so much joy into our home! We were also blessed with Elizabeth even though her time with us ended before it could really start, she has strengthened our testimony of what Eternity is for our family. For me life is wonderful knowing I have my best friend with me helping at all times, good and bad. I love you Brian!

BOO!!!

Happy Halloween everyone! This is our family at our ward Halloween Party this past weekend. I am the handsome devil (get it?) in the middle. The camera person told everyone to smile and this is best that I could come up with. Actually, I work with the young men in the ward and every year they convert a 2 story barn into a haunted house for everyone to come thru. It is usually a big hit with most the youngsters who come thru 4 or 5 times. Becky is dresses as a Hawaiian love goddess. Noah is superboy. Dean is the little cheetah cub. Our beautiful family
Mommy and her little cheetah cub.
Noah (Superboy) and Dean. Noah wore the same outfit for his first Halloween too.

Tom Priestly and I. We both work with young men. Can you imagine how happy the people were as they entered the haunted house and were greeted by us?

Special Olympics

On Friday, Becky and I volunteered at the Special Olympics. It was located in Surprise, which is a bit of a drive. We helped serve dinner to the athletes. It was hosted by Macayos Mexican Restaurant. It was goooooooooood. The owner gave me a tray of chimichangas afterwards. When I say tray, I mean a tub of about 100 chimis. We gave about 75 away and we just finished the last of them today. After dinner we assisted in their opening ceremonies. Becky and I led in the group from Payson. After the ceremony there was a dance. As volunteers we were allowed to participate in the dance. At a normal dance I am not very likely to fit in, but at a Special Olympics I am completely in my element and I totally fit in, so Becky and I dropped it like it was hot for almost an hour. Pictures may follow. I even hear that video was taken. Don't be surprised if you see me on next season's Dancing with the Stars.

Good Morning, Dean!

This morning Becky and I allowed Dean to sleep in. Dean is usually very fun in the morning and will wake up happy and full of smiles. It is fun to be there first to witness it. Well Becky had decided that she was going to go upstairs to get Dean, but I had said that I was going to do it. Becky takes off to go get him and I was at the table. I jumped out of my chair and quickly overtook Becky with my cat-like reflexes and the speed of something really, really fast. I got to Dean first and he was on his stomach just waking up. I grabbed him and lifted him up and said, "Oh, I think he is wet." Once I turned him over I realized that is was more than just wet I had felt. Dean had overflowed his diaper---in the bad way. Sorry, no pictures on this one. I did offer Dean to Becky but she declined. We stripped the boy down and gave him an early morning bath. Dean had lots of fun, but he may have destroyed Becky's favorite pair of his pajamas. It really wasn't so bad though. Some day Dean may have to do the same for me.

Forever In Blue Jeans!!!

Becky says that I have only posted once. I do not know if this is true, but I will post this one because Neil Diamond rocks and we got to party with him last night! Yup, feel free to be jealous. I scored some sweet tickets in a private suite. This makes a concert so much better because I get to choose when I want to stand and party like a rock star or sit on our balcony seat and just enjoy the music. No more standing up just because the person in front of me just stood up. I prefer to view the performer and not the rear ends of the people in front of me. We took our good friends Sam and Heather Blackham as a wedding gift. Yeah, I know....best wedding gift ever! So we all wore our blue jeans, but we could not take our cameras inside. Neil rocked the house. He had about a 12 minute version of 'Cherry, Cherry' and he performed 'Sweet Caroline' 3 times. He sang it once. Then he sang it again. Then he sang it again. It was sweet, but you would think that a guy who has made about 400 albums would have more material. Neil cried when he sang 'Brooklyn Road'. For someone who is about 114 years old he can sure sing with a lot of emotion. I think Becky had a good time. My family is a bit weird about Neil. Not quite stocker weird, but we certainly get a bit more excited than most people about him. After about 4 or 5 songs into the concert Becky finally admitted to knowing one of the songs. This was a bit of concern to me since I had been singing nearly every word of each song up to that point. To make things even better we scored free parking. I love Neil and I love free stuff. Rock on!
