Dean 13 months

So Dean was 13 months on the 1st and I just feel the need to write what is going on with our little toddler. He is walking so well now and can move very fast, especially when he has a goal in mind. He will probably run soon. It has been amazing watching him grow and develop. He loves to "roar"-something his daddy taught him. He can say fish but it sounds like "sh". It is so cute when he says it. He also tries to say cheese but can only make the "s" sound. When we ask him what a sheep says he says "baa". He loves pillows and blankets or anything soft. He loves to stand next to the coach and rest his head on it. I usually rub his back when he does this and he likes it. When ever there is a pillow on the ground or a blanket he will just plop on it and rub his face in it. He loves to swim and is fearless. Since he walks now he thinks he can walk all over the step in our pool and will walk right off it and not even care that he falls completely in the water. It is a little scary for me but Brian always is right there to help him. He also loves the waterfall and loves to sit on it especially when the water is on. He has started to dance by shaking his booty. It is funny how babies just learn to do something. Some of the things that I am hoping he grows out of soon is throwing his food on the ground when he is finished eating or doesn't want a particular food anymore. Also he just started screaming, not as a cry but just to scream. It is how we hear him in the morning, know when he is done eating, and know when he is not happy about something or frustrated. I hope it is just a phase. He has such a beautiful voice most of the time but the screaming is not so fun for my ears. He still is a great sleeper and napper. He eats well and loves milk. He loves to climb on things and gets stuck at the bottom of our stairs where the gate starts because he has not figured out how to get down just one stair without falling. We love him so much!

He's changed so much! We need to see you guys soon. I can't wait until Christin and family are here, we'll have to have a big family get together!

I can't believe how good he is getting around! It looks like he is ALL boy -- I saw that he was ready to climb the hymn book cart yesterday -- he is darling!
