Lunch time Nap

I suppose I kept her up too long because Julia was too tired to even eat her lunch. First time it has ever happened and she looks so cute!

Elizabeth's Day

Four years ago today we had our sweet little angel baby Elizabeth. Time seems to have gone very quickly and our lives have been blessed more than we could have imagined. We feel grateful to have Noah and then Dean, Julia, and another baby girl coming soon. Our lives have been busy. We have our other children to care for but Elizabeth is still on our minds continually. It was a beautiful day. Brian had the day off because of Memorial Day. We went to Mariposa Gardens where Elizabeth is buried. It was wonderful to see so many flags lining the pavement. Dean and Julia enjoy going to look at all the flowers, toys, and pinwheels left on the little graves. Last night and this morning I felt that all was well and I was not sad. I suppose I was wrong because once we pulled up to the little cemetery I felt the emotions come. Sadness and loss. Our home never feels completely whole, someone is missing. I can say that each experience we have in life can make us stronger or weaker. I feel that this has been a strength, even though it is not what we would ever want to experience again or wanted to experience. We are grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ that gives us hope and peace through tough times.

Slip n Slide

On the last day of school some neighbors and friends all went to the park for slip n slide. The school aged kids enjoyed the celebration and the younger ones were glad to join in the fun as well! Since we live right next to the park we were able to use our hose. The kids had a blast and Dean enjoyed being with the older kids!

Playing Catch

After work Brian has been playing catch with the kids. He first would take Noah out but then Dean wanted to join in so we got him a glove. Julia even likes to go out there and throw the ball as well. I lost my glove a few years ago so I need to get a new one so I can play as well. I can't wait for them to all get a little bit older and we can play some softball together. They also like to throw the football around.

Random Pictures

I have had to get 2 new phones in the past 3 weeks. I like to have a picture as my wallpaper so I try to get a picture of Dean and Julia which is hard to do with my phone. I like this one because Dean is smiling great and Julia is leaning into him smiling and laughing. I love it!

Dean has stopped taking regular naps for a couple of months. Since it is getting brighter earlier and the birds are up earlier, he has been waking up earlier by 6:15 on most days. Recently he started falling asleep in the car when I go to pick up Noah from the bus stop or if I go on an errand late in the afternoon. He has even let me transfer him from the car to a stroller and stays sleeping the whole time we are gone. I know that is a sign that he is not getting enough sleep but I am not sure how to get him to sleep in. I also need to put our bigger stroller in the car so Julia can sit as well but at least she is walking so I can push him.

Scott and Megan's Wedding

My youngest brother Scott got sealed in the Mesa, AZ temple to Megan Godard. She was the lucky one that watched our kids during our recent trip. The weather was great for late May, the sealing was beautiful, and the couple looked amazing! Brian and I were able to go to the sealing together but then he had to leave for work. We enjoyed taking a few pictures at the temple but did the majority before the reception. The reception was great with dancing, food, socializing, and just having fun. Again Brian was so kind to let me stay the whole time while he took the little ones home to go to bed. We are so happy to have Megan in our family! What a gorgeous couple

It was a beautiful night to take pictures but a little windy for our hair. This is all of the grandkids except Joshua. Julia was not very happy to be in the picture.

This is the best picture we could get of our family. Dean and Julia are showing us they are not enjoying this part of the night.

I wanted to get a mother daughter shot but the wind was messing up Julia's hair and she was not going to give me a smile.

They had a fun picture booth at the reception

Julia is 17 months

Julia is officially a walker now! She started walking more when we got back home from our trip and for the past almost 2 weeks she has walked. I hardly ever see her crawl now, it is great! She is also speaking more and is getting so much cuter. Some new words are more, bye bye, hi, eat, and baby. When we talk about the new baby coming she tries to lift up my shirt to see my stomach. Whenever she is hungry she goes to her high chair and waits for us to put her in it. She likes being in the high chair or maybe she just likes eating. She loves using utensils to eat and does not like us to try to feed us. She makes a big mess and misses a lot but she is getting better. When I say it is time for a bath she goes right to the bathroom. She loves the water and loves going swimming. She still is easy to cuddle with which is so much fun! It is hard to put hair accessories in her hair because she pulls them out shortly after I get it in. She needs them though because her bangs are getting too long.
