Deborah 8 Months

Deborah is 8 months. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is great at sitting, has started rolling from her back to her belly, and now sleeps on her belly. She just started that a few days ago.  It is always a little startling when you place them on their back when they go down to sleep and are on their belly with their head popped up when they wake up. She is still so cute and is quite the talker her. She can be very loud sometimes but good thing others think it is cute as well.  Her siblings still adore her and I feel that they love her more and more each day. She can hold her bottle to drink her formula which is great. She is great at eating baby food and some table food if it is mushed up enough. She had one tooth popping up on the bottom. She takes two 1 1/2-2 hour naps each day, goes to bed around 6:30 or 7pm, still wakes up around 5 am to eat but will go back to bed until about 7:30. She is a fun and a very easy baby most of the time.  She has stopped sleeping at church but is usually good if we keep her entertained.

Deborah's 6 month pictures

We got some pictures taken of Deborah when she was 6 months old. It took us a couple of weeks to get her pictures taken due to sickness and a bad rash on her face. I guess she was able to sit up better by the time we got them taken so it worked out better. She got quite a few cute pictures and was great at smiling. These are just a few of the pictures. I got them taken at JCpenny's in the mall so I figured if I have to take all the little ones I might as well try to get a group shot at the end. As you can see by the last picture Dean was the only one who cooperated. Deborah was done smiling and Julia decided to be stubborn.

craft time

Dean and Julia love painting. We went to Michael's and bought wood bird houses for them to paint. They had a blast and got quite messy in the process.

Easter Sunday

Since the Easter Bunny came on Saturday we were able to just focus on getting ready for our early church. I finally made the girls matching outfits (my plan was to do it for Christmas but too busy with packing and moving). I think they looked so cute! I made the skirts and just found matching shirts at Target. I really enjoyed making them and I look foward to doing it again. It is nice that they are close in age that I have a few more years I can do it before they get embarrassed! All the pictures we took were before church because they are usually messy or tired after. I did the best I could but realize they did not turn out great. I guess it is hard to keep little ones and even a pre-teen still long enough for a great group shot.I took one of just Julia since she can stand and show off her new outfit better.
I had to post this picture because you can see just above her right eye is a week old black eye she had got from walking into our big stair post. It was worse a few days ago.

Dean wanted a picture since I was taking one of the girls.

Then we got all of the kids together and believe it or not this was the best one we got. But it was time to go to church so we could not try anymore.

After church we were able to relax and take naps. Then we watched the living scripture video about Jesus Resurrection. For dinner we went over to my parents home and ate a traditional Easter dinner, ham, rolls, potatoes, salad, fruit, etc. After dinner the kids enjoyed the Easter egg hunt at the green belt next to my parent's home. They kids had been waiting for this event for the past few days.

All of the cousin's who live in AZ except Deborah and the newest cousin Addison.

It was already 6:30 which is Deborah's bedtime so she was very tired.

We did enjoy homemade ice cream and brownies to end the night.

Easter

This year we asked to the Easter Bunny to come to our home Saturday morning before the kids woke up. We have 8:30 church on Sunday and it was fast Sunday. We did this when I was growing up and we did not know a difference. I think we will continue the tradition. It sure made it easier on Sunday. Dean was very excited and woke up at 6 am. He had to wait until the other kids were awake before he could find his basket and eggs which was around 7 am. They each found their basket and 4 eggs that were hidden. Deborah did not get up until 8:30 so she missed all of the action but I don't think she minded. Noah and Brian helped at the cannery for Colton's Eagle Project. When they got back we dyed eggs. I did not get a great picture and Noah did his when the other kids were almost done. We went swimming at Val Vista Lakes that afternoon to visit some of my cousins who were in town. It was a beautiful day and the kids loved swimming. We then enjoyed some yummy Papa John's Pizza 50% off. Made it even yummier!

Bath Time

It is not often that Dean, Julia, and Deborah take a bath together. I like to bathe Deborah by herself because it is usually at random times and safer for her. For a while Dean only liked taking a bath by himself. There would be too much fighting or complaining about who splashed who. Plus he like to lay in the water and there is not a lot of room when Julia is in also. Lately Dean and Julia will take a bath together which is fine but very messy after. This is a cute picture because Deborah is definitely very happy!

Dean's Craft Time

Dean usually does some crafts when both girls are taking their afternoon nap. He loves to paint, cut, color and use glue. I try to get him a variety of different types of crafts so he does not get bored.
