I am 36 weeks today in my pregnancy. I feel like I have not written much of what has been going so I better catch up before she is here. At 32 weeks I started my routine tests twice a week. I did this with Dean and Julia as well. I have an ultrasound one day and an
NST(stress test) another day. It is great that my family and friends have been so willing to watch Dean and Julia while I have had so many
appts. I have been feeling good overall but have been getting more tired the past couple of weeks. It is probably due to lack of sleep that occurs in pregnancy. I don't expect to get great sleep once she comes but I guess I am used to it. This baby girl is breech which has been a lot different. I don't enjoy having her hard head in the middle of my belly. Her movements and kicks are more uncomfortable for me because they hit in my pelvic region and sometimes she hits a nerve in my groin area shooting pain down my leg. Since she is breech and probably won't change the doctor will have to try to change her. If it is not successful then I will have to have a C-section. I am not excited about that alternative but have had time to prepare mentally for the possibility. She also is a small baby and is not growing very quickly and has slowed down her growth. She has only gained a pound in the past month. I went to the doctor today and she is now in the 10
th percentile where she started in the 30
th percentile 4 weeks ago. I am scheduled to have an
amnio test tomorrow morning to check the lungs. If they look good Dr.
Lepetich wants to induce me tomorrow or Wednesday. Our planned date to have her induced is Aug 29
th if she can wait that long. I am grateful that the doctor has been monitoring her so well. It has helped me feel calmer and more prepared. I am a little nervous about the test tomorrow but am hoping her lungs are mature. If she is not getting what she needs in the womb then maybe she can thrive better after she is born. We are not sure what is preventing her from growing because she has great flow in the umbilical cord, she has great movement, and physically looks great so far. Time will tell and our family may be bigger tomorrow.
