Julia's 4 month pictures

My friend Kim is starting to do photography and asked if she could take some pictures of Julia. She even had some outfits for her to wear. These are a few that I really liked. The pictures are not in any order and you will notice the first one I was trying to comfort her because she was getting restless and the second one she is crying. We had to take a couple of breaks during the photo session. Thanks Kim!

She loves to eat her hands and this stage of her life

I love the pictures where she shows off her beautiful smile and chubby cheeks!

Sticking out her tongue is another thing she has been doing lately

Julia's 4 month STATs

Julia went to the doctor today and everything went great. The exciting thing is she rolled over from her stomach to her back for the first time while we were waiting for the doctor. She did it twice. I was not expecting it at all but called Brian to share in my excitement.

Julia 4 months

Our baby is 4 months now. Time is flying by and she gets cuter every day! She is so much fun to have in our home. She doesn't roll over yet but can push herself up when lying on her belly. She likes to reach for toys and will grab for them. She is great at smiling and has a cute laugh. She loves to interact with others especially her brothers. She likes to watch them play and it keeps her entertained. She likes to take baths with Dean and he makes her laugh without even trying. She still wakes up at night but usually only once or sometimes twice a night. She likes to go to bed early around 7pm or sometimes earlier. She usually gets 2 or 3 naps in a day. She is usually easy going but she is not afraid to let us know when she is not happy. I took pictures of Dean at 4 months in the same pose because we have one like this of Noah. Julia looks a lot like Dean at this age, just not as chubby. I decided to put a bow on her half way through the photo shoot so she would look more girly. All of these are pictures of Julia but if you go to our blog Sept of '08 you can see how similar they look.

Locked Out

Today we had Stake Conference and we got a new Stake President. Brian decided that he would go an hour early so we could get decent seats. It was my job to get there with the kids by the time it was starting at 10. We live very close to the Stake Center so I was going to walk because parking is limited. I decided to get everything in the stroller so I could then just get the kids and go. So I go in the garage and get the stroller out and ready. When I tried to get back into the house the door was locked. I realized Dean was right behind me and he knows how to lock the door but not unlock it. I pounded on the door trying to get Dean to try to unlock it but I don't think he understood what to do. I luckily had my phone with me and called Brian. I was a little nervous because I had already put Julia in her carseat and she was crying. I also realized that Brian drove my car and did not have the house key with him. His keys were in the house. He told me to check the back door and any windows that could be unlocked. I luckily found the window behind the fish tank unlocked. I was able to open it but it was going to be tricky for me to fit through since it was blocked. I finally figured out how to fit through the window and climb over the fish tank. The cute thing was I found Dean waiting for me with Brian's set of keys. I guess he understood what we needed for me to unlock the door. He is smarter than I thought!

(Just in case you were wondering I locked the window because it is safer, don't want a break in, and will always have a house key with me before going out to the garage)

Gila Valley Temple

On Saturday I was privileged to go with some of my family to the Gila Valley Temple. My Dad and his company supplied the steal for the temple and Saturday was the day that they invited all of the construction companies and workers who helped build the temple along with their family to an open house. It was a fun experience to go through the temple before it opens. It was interesting to hear how those who helped in the construction share how it was built. After our tour they had a wonderful lunch to say thanks. The open house to the rest of the public will start this weekend. Only Julia and I were able to go, Brian had a campout with the scouts, Noah was not with us this weekend, and Dean was left with a babysitter.

When we were driving up to the temple there is a train track that runs parallel to the temple. We noticed that a train had derailed just before you got to the entrance of the temple and stake center next to it. They said that it had happened the night before and it was amazing that it stopped before it could block off the entrance. Nothing can stop the work of the Lord!

More Fun with Family

I think Dean and Lily really hit it off. She really liked being with him and would try to hold his hand. I think she enjoyed having him play with her. Dean liked her interaction as well since he doesn't get that with Julia since she is still a little too young.Lily enjoyed playing in this toy and Dean like giving her toys while she was in it.
Nonny and Papa brought Noah some huckleberry syrup to enjoy on his waffles. He was kind enough to share with his Dad who also loves this special treat.

We were sad when our guests left but are so glad that they came. We can't wait until we see them again!
