Cousins

Dean met two of his cousins for the first time. My sister Emily and her husband Ryan came to visit while her daughter Peyton is on break. They are visiting from Irvine, CA. They will be here for a week(minus Ryan he already had to return home). We are excited to see them and play with them! Hailey who is 3 was visiting while I was in my last month of pregnancy. She wanted to see my baby and asked me to take him out for her to see. I tried to explain to her that he was not ready to come out and that I could not take him out and then put him back in. Everytime we would see her she would still ask for me to please let her see my baby. I finally showed her an ultrasound picture and it somewhat satisfied her need to see him. Now Dean is here and Hailey had fun holding him!
Peyton 7 is fun to have around. Noah enjoys playing with her now that they are both a little older .
We love you too Noah!

Great Grandparents

Dean is very lucky to get have two of his great grandparents living by him. He gets to see them once a week when we go over to his Grandpa and Grandma Cardon's home for dinner. His Great Grandfather Gaisford and his Mita (Great Grandmother Cardon) enjoy watching him grow!

Ward Campout

This past weekend we went on our Ward campout. It was at Roosevelt Lake. We had a great time as a family! Our truck was is not working the best and we felt that we did not have enough trunk space for all our equipment so we decided to rent a big truck. We are lucky to have gotten a fabulous deal from our brother-in-law Brian who works at Enterprise. It made our trip so much easier. We were able to take our kayaks which we enjoyed as well as many of the ward members. The drive there was beautiful and we got to the campsite around 5:00 so there was time to go down to the lake and do some kayaking. Our Bishops wife was so kind and offered to watch Dean so we could enjoy the lake for an hour or so before it got dark. We missed some of the action like the Bishop killing a rattlesnake but we stilled experienced the other desert creatures. Noah enjoyed using a black light to find scorpions and others found a few black widows. The weather was warm so we slept on top of our sleeping bags. Dean slept pretty well and was great the whole trip. A few people brought their boats and Saturday morning we went to the lake and enjoyed the water. Dean took his first boat ride and looked so cute in the life jacket (sorry no pictures). Noah and I were able to go on the tubes and had a lot of fun bouncing around on the water. It was a fun little trip for our family and we enjoyed getting to know some of our ward members better!

We picked this site to set up camp so we could get a great view of the lake.

Bath Time!

Brian had to spray Dean down one morning after he spit up everywhere, so he decided to just bath him in the kitchen sink. Dean loved being sprayed with the water, especially on his feet! He was all smiles!

Dean rolled over

Brian has been practicing with Dean on how to roll over. Well the practice time worked because this morning Dean rolled over from his back to his front. Now I was not home but Brian shared this development with me. Brian actually did not see it happen but he left Dean lying on his back and when he came back into the room he was on his stomach. Dean decided that one time was not enough so he decided to roll over in his sleep. When I went in to wake him from his nap this afternoon I found him laying on his stomach, face down, with his arms crossed over above his head. It kind of scared me at first. I should have taken a picture before I woke him up but I was a little shocked to see him like that. He then did the same thing during his second nap and when I put him to bed tonight. I am not so sure if I am glad he learned this because I think I am going to worry more. I guess I am just paranoid about SIDS. Is that normal?

Dean's so cute when he sleeps!

So lately Dean has been doing cute things while he is sleeping. For the past week or so I would lay him in bed with his head facing one way and when I would find him in the morning he would be completely turned the opposite way. I am not sure how he does it or how long it takes him but he is strong enough to wiggle his body. This week I have put him to bed and have found him laying on his side while he sleeps. Last night I could not resist taking a picture of him. He even switched sides for me while I was taking them. He is so adorable!

When Mom is not Looking

Brian took Dean swimming the other day and this is what I found when I went out to check on them. I was not so sure at first about this little set up but Dean sure liked it and the water did not get on the music part that could get ruined. Brian is very creative!
